The role of the Fourth Estate's Constitution and Bylaws committee is to review, interpret or initiate appropriate actions on petitions to amend the Organization’s constitution, by-laws and related governance documents.
The Constitution and Bylaws Committee responsibilities include:
Membership in the Committee is open to any member of the Fourth Estate, with preference for those who have a background in law or public policy, but is not mandatory. The committee is comprised of 3 to 9 members who shalll be appointed by the Chair of the Board of Directors Board. Constitutional review meetings are held at least once a year and are open to all members.
