Hyperlocal (News) Summit




The Judith Neilson Institute is holding a summit to explore experiences in Hyperlocal Media and what support is needed to address the challenges being faced in Australia.

The Summit will be held online over two days, in the morning of Tuesday, April 20 and the evening of Wednesday, April 21. A more detailed agenda is included below.

The Summit is intended for those working in the hyperlocal media space. We want to hear from you about your experiences and the challenges and solutions you have encountered.

We will be joined by international guest speakers (to be announced in the coming weeks) who will share their experiences in hyperlocal media in other jurisdictions.

The Institute was established in 2018 by Australian philanthropist Judith Neilson and is based in Sydney, Australia, but works with journalists and media organisations around the world.


The organization is non-partisan and governed by an independent board.
