Fourth Estate Adds Three Members to Advisory Board

The Fourth Estate Publlc Benefit Corporation has added Chip Scanlan, Rebekah Monson, and Greg Brooks to its Advisory Board.

The Fourth Estate’s Advisory Board is comprised of distinguished professionals who have agreed to lend their experience and prominence to the organization, provide advice and guidance on special projects and initiatives.

Chip Scanlan is a past senior faculty member at the Poynter Institute, and director of the National Writers Workshops. For two decades he was an award-winning feature writer for the St. Petersburg Times, a national correspondent for Knight-Ridder Newspapers, and a reporter for the Providence Journal.

Rebekah Monson is co-founder and VP of Product of WhereBy.Us, a local media startup that connects people to their cities through storytelling and experiences. Previously, she worked in many journalism jobs and later ran communications at the University of Miami School of Communication, where she pursued an M.F.A. in Interactive Media. She co-founded Code for Miami and Hacks/Hackers Miami.

Greg Brooks is former city editor, news editor and current principal of West Third Group, a public affairs firm focused on public-policy and crisis issues. He lives in Las Vegas.
