The Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corporation, announced today that Professor Rosental Alves has accepted an invitation and appointment to the Fourth Estate’s Academic Advisory Board.
Professor Alves has been a working journalist since the age of sixteen. He is the Director of the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, and is a Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, where he has served on the faculty for more than 20 years.
“To say that I am delighted to welcome Professor Alves to the Fourth Estate’s Advisory Board would be a massive understatement,” said Jeff Brown, Founder of the Fourth Estate PBC. “Professor Alves is one of the foremost thought leaders in modern journalism, and his decision to join the Fourth Estate’s advisory is a vote of confidence in new and growing organization.”
The Fourth Estate’s Advisory Board provides guidance, advocacy and expertise to all areas of the Fourth Estate’s mission, work, programs and initiatives. Members include Pulitzer Prize winning journalists, respected academic leaders, and subject matter experts from corporations, foundations and private organizations.
